The Day I Lost the Remote

A great title for a short story if ever there was one.  It's a true story too...

I lost the remote.  I cried.  I unmade my bed and pulled everything out from under it.  I cleaned my room.  I found the remote.  Phew.  That was a scary day. 

Sometimes life isn't as interesting as you think it will be.  Now, don't laugh.

I don't remember where I saw this... perhaps it was on Pinterest.  It made me laugh.  The maths teachers whom I work with had a bit of a chuckle when I shared it with them.  If you aren't a maths teacher you might not enjoy it as much as I did.  Math humor is an acquired taste.

I thought this might be a happy topic for today's sentence... and more.

On the holidays, I decided to take up face painting. There are lots of kids at the family gatherings these days and a bit of paint on the face is always fun.  

Here are pictures of my Christmas Painting Attempts.  These are photos of my practice painting. I find it's easier to practice on myself so I have already thought it out and have a process that works for me.

Kids move!! Before having a wriggling and excited youngster in front of me, wanting a tree or a star or Christmas lights or balloons, it is a good idea to know exactly what to do to produce it.
