A Sentence a Day: Set

We start tomorrow.

Perhaps a prompt or question or two wouldn't hurt.

I know the readership on AGT isn't huge, but we will ask anyway.  Do you have any questions?  Do you have any topics that you think I should write a sentence about?

Just in case you lot don't feel brave enough to comment and I happen to get stuck - I will also be checking out the usual writing prompt hot spots and news websites for inspiration.

Have a wonderful New Year's Eve!

A Sentence a Day: ready

I have been inspired. HA!

"A Sentence a Day" is a  simple concept.  Whether you fancy yourself a writer or you doubt your literary genius, everyone can write a sentence.  ALMOST everyone.  So, at the end of each day, or I suppose you could do it at the beginning, you write one sentence- about the day, a realisation you had, what you wore, who you spent the day with.  It doesn't really matter what it is about.  If you start with one sentence you will probably end up writing more, but, there are days when the expectation of writing a whole paragraph is too difficult.  Keep expectations small and when you exceed them you can be proud of yourself.

Apparently, a lady called Gretchen Rubin started a One Sentence Journal and has managed to continue- uninterupted for 5 years.  There is a book about it, which you can learn more about here, called The Happiness Project.  There is a website (I think it's a Word Press site) where you can start your own One Sentence a Day Journal online- click here to see that. Kikki K (an exclusive stationery store) has published a print One Sentence a Day Journal and related stationery line.  The Journal has 365 sentence starters or prompts, each with their own page ready for your 1 sentence (or more) response.

I considered buying one of these journals, but I decided it was a huge waste of money when I know that I have two blogs and a journaling app on my Windows Surface Tablet and none of those get a daily sentence.  The idea that a pretty new book with pretty new pens will change my writing habits is pretty ludicrous.  Did you see what I did there?

The new year is fast approaching.  I think I can handle one sentence a day.  Therefore, as of 1st January 2015, AGT will be the platform for my one sentence a day.  Sometimes it will be more. Often it will not.

Now you know the plan.  If you feel inspired, I would love for you to share your thoughts in the comments or tick a reaction box below.

Thanks.

It's been a while

Catching up on all the news in one post would be next to impossible.  For the reason that I have probably forgotten much of it.

Busy is good.  I suppose, busy is good.

There have been Christmas celebrations, shopping expeditions, friendly lunches, family arrivals, sporting finals, introductions, farewells, surprises and birthdays. All since my last post which was very short.  Let's see if we can get you up to speed on the basics.

1. I have a boyfriend.
2. Nanny is here!
3. The kids are good!
4. I'm on Holidays!!!
5. I'm now 31.

I think that's it.  Now that I look, it seems a bit sad really.  Perhaps the truth of it is that I'm very succinct.

Well, that's that then.  I'm back in the saddle.

There is plenty more to come and you will see it soon.

I have truly missed you AGT.  The joy of blogging seemed a luxury but perhaps I should make it a necessity.

Love
